The 7th Lang International Corporate Titan Awards (LICTA) Awards Dinner was held recently in Kuala Lumpur on 5 Dec 2025, recognising outstanding enterprises and business leaders, while also placing special emphasis on the important role played by several government development agencies in advancing Malaysia’s enterprise ecosystem.

At the 7th Lang International Corporate Titan Awards (LICTA) ceremony, five government development agencies received the Sahabat Entrepreneur – Accelerator award in recognition of their sustained contributions to Malaysia’s entrepreneurial development. The recipients were the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB), Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) and Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA). These agencies support enterprises through investment facilitation, market access, industry development, talent cultivation and workforce upskilling.

In addition, the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM / BOMBA) was conferred the Special Contribution Award for its contributions to public safety, industrial protection and emergency response.
The organisers noted that enterprise development cannot rely on market forces alone, and that sound policy direction, institutional support and cross-agency collaboration are equally critical. The establishment of these awards reflects LICTA’s intention to recognise government agencies that have long supported enterprise growth, while underscoring the importance of public–private collaboration in national economic development.
The 7th Lang International Corporate Titan Awards (LICTA) awards dinner was jointly organised by the Malaysia Game Changer Foundation (incorporated under the Prime Minister’s Department) and Koperasi Pembangunan Usahawan Global Berhad (registered under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development). The organisers added that LICTA remains committed to building a high-trust government–business engagement platform that facilitates effective linkages between enterprises, policy resources, development agencies and industry networks.
In addition, enterprises were recognised under the Diamond, Platinum and Gold grades for outstanding performance across sectors including manufacturing, engineering, agriculture, green technology, logistics, education and digital solutions. Two new award categories were also introduced this year, namely the Outstanding Potential Award (OPA) and the Executive Vanguard Leadership Award (EVLA), to encourage enterprises with strong growth potential and business leaders with forward-looking vision.
The organisers said that LICTA has, over the years, evolved beyond an awards platform into an important nexus connecting policymakers, national institutions, the business community and professional sectors. Through recognising government enterprise development agencies, the platform seeks to further strengthen the enterprise ecosystem and support more sustainable growth in areas such as financing access, talent development, market expansion and internationalisation.
