The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) invites all Malaysians to attend the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC) 2026, which will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, from 29 July to 1 August 2026.
Visitors can seize the opportunity to enjoy a 10% discount on home purchases, while accessing various benefits and professional advice related to homeownership under one roof.

As the largest real estate conference in the ASEAN region, AREC 2026 will bring together industry leaders, investors, financial institutions and property developers from Malaysia and abroad. It will also provide the public with an ideal platform to explore housing options, obtain financing information and enjoy exclusive offers throughout the event.
During AREC 2026, visitors will be eligible for a 10% discount on home purchases offered by participating developers. This special initiative is intended to ease the financial burden on buyers, particularly the initial costs involved in purchasing a home.
The initiative also reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to expanding access to homeownership through strategic cooperation between the government, financial institutions and property industry players.
Visitors can also obtain housing financing advice from Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan Berhad (SJKP).
Under Budget 2026, the MADANI Government increased SJKP’s guarantee limit by an additional RM20 billion to help 80,000 first-time homebuyers, particularly those with irregular incomes, self-employed individuals and gig economy workers, gain access to housing financing and realise their dream of owning a home.
As of 30 June 2026, the initiative had benefited 118,731 homebuyers, with total financing guarantees amounting to RM28.92 billion.
Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming said AREC 2026 would serve as a one-stop platform offering housing options, financing information and professional advice to help Malaysians make informed homeownership decisions.
“I urge all Malaysians not to miss the opportunity to attend the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC) 2026. This is the ideal time to realise your dream of owning a home while enjoying a 10% discount offered by participating developers.
“Those facing difficulties in obtaining financing should visit the Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan Berhad (SJKP) booth for advice and information about financing guarantee schemes that could help them own a home.
“I am targeting 100,000 visitors over the four days of AREC 2026. I want as many Malaysians as possible to benefit from the initiatives offered by the government and industry players.
“Come with your family, take advantage of the exclusive offers, explore the best housing options and enjoy the various activities available. Do not miss this golden opportunity, as these offers are available exclusively during AREC 2026,” he said.
Throughout the four-day event, visitors can explore a property exhibition featuring various residential projects from leading developers.
They can also visit the KPKT Pavilion, which will bring together agencies under the ministry, receive direct consultations on home purchases and financing, attend forums and knowledge-sharing sessions led by local and international property experts, and participate in family-friendly activities.

AREC 2026 is also expected to support the growth of Malaysia’s property sector, with a target of generating RM1.5 billion in transaction value.
This would strengthen the country’s housing ecosystem and support the MADANI Government’s aspiration to help more Malaysians own quality, comfortable and affordable homes.
The public is invited to attend the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC) 2026 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, from 29 July to 1 August 2026.
Visitors can enjoy a 10% discount on home purchases, obtain financing advice from SJKP, explore various housing options and participate in activities held throughout the event.
