You’ve hired a Feng Shui master, followed the advice, made all the necessary adjustments, and yet, months later, your business still isn’t seeing any real improvement.
Should you get a second consultation?
According to renowned Feng Shui master Alan Chong, yes, you absolutely should!
Not because someone’s trying to get you to spend more money, but for the same reason you’d seek a second opinion in medicine: because the wrong “prescription” doesn’t just fail to help, it can slowly cause harm without you even noticing.

When Feng Shui Fails to Deliver Results
Feng shui is a subtle yet powerful force. Its effects aren’t always immediate or obvious. Sometimes, it takes three to six months before you realize nothing is improving.
The truth is, not all knowledge out there is accurate or applicable. If the original application is fundamentally flawed, it may not just be ineffective, it may be detrimental over the long term.
Bad advice doesn’t always cause immediate damage. It can take months to reveal itself. But when it does, it usually shows up as a slow decline: sales don’t pick up, staff morale dips, challenges pile up, and you’re too busy troubleshooting to realize that the root problem might be energetic.

Unlike renovations or decor, feng shui isn’t visible to the naked eye. You can’t smell, touch, or hear it. This makes it both powerful and dangerous. Most people only notice its impact when the situation is already critical.
The Invisible Danger

Some shopping centers spend tens of millions upgrading their interiors; new lighting, trendy designs, modern restrooms. They bring in influencers, slash parking fees, offer cheap rental rates. And still, people don’t show up.
One mall in USJ spent RM70 million on upgrades. After all the renovations, it still couldn’t attract a crowd. Why? Because the energy didn’t change.
Energy forms the building blocks of reality. Any science student will tell you: atoms arrange into molecules, molecules into matter. That process begins with energy. Without changing the foundation, the result remains the same.
When to Seek a Second Opinion

If your business hasn’t shown signs of improvement after 6–9 months post-feng shui consultation, it’s time to consider a second opinion.
Find a reputable master and ask them to assess your space without telling them what the previous master did. If they can point out problem areas and provide fresh insights without being influenced, that’s a sign you’re working with someone credible.
Remember, not all masters are equal. Some give physical or psychological advice, like strategically placing lucky cats or crystals, which look nice, but don’t truly shift energy. So don’t assume that just because your master is well-known or expensive, the results are guaranteed.

A second consultation could help you avoid further losses, or worse, a complete business collapse over the next few years. It’s not about doubting every master you work with. It’s about being responsible for your business, understanding that when this practice done wrong, it can quietly derail even your best efforts.
Don’t let sunk costs or blind faith stop you from re-evaluating your feng shui strategy. Energy is the foundation of reality. And if that foundation is shaky, no amount of marketing, renovation, or optimism will be enough.
A good second opinion might just change the fate of your business.
