Priced at RM150, the pass offers unlimited travel for 30 consecutive days across the entire Rapid KL network. This includes the LRT, MRT, Monorail, BRT Sunway, Rapid KL buses and MRT feeder buses.
Unlike a calendar-month subscription, the 30-day validity begins only after the pass is activated, allowing commuters to purchase it whenever they need rather than waiting for the start of a new month.
Users are required to maintain at least RM5 in their Touch ‘n Go card purse balance while using the pass.
Who Can Buy The Rapid Bulanan Pass?
One of the biggest advantages of Rapid Bulanan is that it is available to everyone.
Unlike the subsidised My50 programme, which is limited to Malaysian citizens using MyKad or MyTentera, the RM150 Rapid Bulanan pass is also available to expatriates, tourists, international students and foreign workers.
For many non-citizens who depend on Rapid KL services every day, this is the first unlimited monthly travel pass available to them.
How To Activate The Pass Using TNG eWallet
Commuters with an NFC-enabled smartphone can purchase and activate the pass in less than two minutes.
Simply open the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app, tap the Transport feature, select Rapid KL Pass, choose Rapid Bulanan, tap an NFC-enabled Touch ‘n Go card or supported wearable charm against the phone, complete the RM150 payment, then tap the card again to activate the pass.
Although the purchase process is digital, commuters must still carry their physical Touch ‘n Go card or compatible wearable when travelling because station fare gates cannot yet be accessed directly through the mobile app.
Passengers without NFC-enabled smartphones can continue purchasing the pass at Rapid KL customer service counters.
