Malaysia is gearing up to host SME Venture@ASEAN 2025, one of the most significant business events of the year for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Organised by SME Corp. Malaysia under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), the event will be held from 16 to 18 October 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship.

Themed “Bringing ASEAN Closer to You”, SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors and more than 300 local and international exhibitors, with projected sales of RM300 million.
Business Matching and Export Opportunities

The event will provide a powerful platform for SMEs to showcase their innovations, connect with regional partners, and explore export opportunities. A highlight is the 200 business matching sessions with ASEAN SMEs, anchor companies, and international buyers from partner countries including Turkiye, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Georgia, and Kazakhstan.
YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, stressed that the initiative goes beyond exhibitions.
“SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 is more than just an event; it is specially crafted to provide MSMEs with maximum opportunities to venture into the global market,” he said during the soft launch.
B2B and B2C Showcases

The event will cater to both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) markets. The B2B showcase will spotlight export-ready SMEs in high-impact sectors such as electrical and electronics, oil and gas, biotechnology, medical devices, aerospace, tourism, smart farming, and halal industries. Meanwhile, the B2C showcase under the ASEAN Market Fair will be aimed at the public, offering a wide variety of food and beverages, fashion, health and wellness products, cosmetics, handicrafts, and travel deals. This segment also aligns with the momentum for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
In addition to exhibitions, the three-day event will be filled with activities designed to empower SMEs. These include workshops on Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), an ESG Forum guiding MSMEs on climate-related disclosures and sustainability reporting, export assistance and digitalisation talks (Tech Spot), export fund pitching sessions, as well as product launches.
