In the business world, the success of a leader often mirrors the strength of the team that supports them. This holds true for the well-known influencer and entrepreneur, Khairul Aming, whose dedicated team has played a significant role in driving his business to achieve monthly sales of RM 3.5 to RM 4 million.

Recently, Khairul Aming revealed the secret behind building a high-performing team, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a healthy work environment. He shared that equality and fairness are core principles in his company’s culture, regardless of employees’ roles or titles.

“The key to creating an excellent team is simple. I used to work in a corporate environment for six years, and during that time, I formed an idea of what kind of boss I would want to work for. Now that I’m in a leadership position, I’ve made sure to be the kind of boss my team wants,” Khairul Aming explained.

One of the standout aspects of his management approach is avoiding toxic competition within the team. “I don’t teach my staff to compete against each other. That’s why when it comes to bonuses, travel perks, shopping allowances, or pocket money, everyone receives the same—no matter their job title,” he said.

This philosophy of fairness and collaboration has paid off. Khairul Aming expressed his gratitude that, as a result of this culture, none of his staff have left the company. “We teach everyone that if we work together, we all benefit. There’s no such thing as ‘I do more, you get less.’ So far, we’ve managed to retain all our employees.”

Previously, Khairul Aming garnered significant attention when he received an official letter of appreciation from New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon, in recognition of the content he produced during his recent visit to the country.

Khairul Aming recently treated his staff to a memorable five-day trip to Langkawi as a reward for their hard work. He closed the Sambal Nyet factory and took all 60 employees to the luxurious Parkroyal Langkawi Resort. The trip included exciting activities such as jet skiing, snorkeling, cave explorations, and sunset views on private yachts. Khairul Aming even provided pocket money for the team to buy gifts for their loved ones, showcasing his appreciation and commitment to creating a positive work environment. Thank you, Khairul Aming, for being a shining example of a great employer. Your leadership and dedication to creating a positive and supportive work environment are truly inspiring!
