Buying a new machine or upgrading business equipment can be expensive, especially for small entrepreneurs trying to grow with limited capital. The good news is that eligible entrepreneurs may receive assistance worth up to RM30,000 under the Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor (DUMS) 2027 programme.
However, there is one important detail. The assistance is not provided in cash. Instead, successful applicants will receive approved machinery, equipment or business hardware that can help improve their productivity and income.
Applications for Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor are open from 1 September to 30 November 2026.
What Is Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor (DUMS)?
Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor, also known as DUMS, is a special programme organised by the Selangor State Standing Committee for Entrepreneur Development and Creative Economy.
It is intended to help local entrepreneurs increase sales and build stronger, more competitive and sustainable businesses.
For a food entrepreneur, the assistance could mean obtaining machinery that increases production capacity. A tailor may need a more advanced sewing machine, while a printing business may require equipment that can complete orders more quickly.
The programme is open across business sectors, including the creative industry. However, applicants must explain exactly what they require, including the brand and model of the requested equipment, and how it is expected to improve production and income.
Assistance Of Up To RM30,000
Each approved company may receive assistance valued at no more than RM30,000, subject to approval.
Unlike a loan or cash grant, Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor supplies approved equipment or hardware for business use. This allows entrepreneurs to acquire productive assets without using as much of their own working capital.
That could leave more money available for stock, rent, salaries, marketing and other operating expenses. Better equipment may also help a business process more orders, improve consistency and reduce the time needed to complete its work.
There is also a condition attached to the assistance. According to the official application form, it may be withdrawn if the recipient records no improvement in productivity or income within two years of receiving it.
Who Can Apply For Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor (DUMS)?
Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor is aimed at active businesses with annual sales below RM500,000.
The applicant must be a Selangor resident who votes in the state, while the business premises must operate in Selangor. Applicants must be between 18 and 60 years old, and their businesses must have operated actively in the state for at least two years by the application date.
The business must also be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia, commonly known as SSM. It must operate on a full-time basis, except for online businesses, maintain consistent production and employ at least two permanent workers.
Successful applicants or businesses may receive the assistance only once. Those that previously received assistance from the Selangor State Government may apply for DUMS only after three years.
An application will also not be considered if the applicant’s spouse, parents, siblings or children have previously received the same assistance.
Documents Applicants Need To Prepare
Applicants should prepare a copy of the owner’s or partners’ identity cards, relevant SSM registration documents and a valid local authority business licence, permit or approval letter.
They must also submit documents relating to the business premises, such as a land title or tenancy agreement, together with the company’s latest three months of bank statements.
The application requires photographs of the production premises from the front, left, right and rear, photographs of the products, and a copy of the applicant’s voter-registration check from the MySPR Semak website.
Applicants must also provide their annual sales figures for the two most recent years, list their existing equipment and state the estimated cost of the items requested in order of priority.?

First, download and complete the official Dana Usahawan Madani Selangor application form.
Prepare all the required documents and submit the completed form to the District and Land Office nearest to your business.
