His remuneration was approximately 4.3 times higher than that received by Maybank CEO Khairussaleh Ramli.

Why Bank CEOs’ Remuneration Is More Than Basic Salary
Together, the five Bank CEOs received approximately RM112.14 million in total remuneration for 2025. Tay alone accounted for nearly 58% of the combined amount.
The monthly and daily figures are simple averages based on each CEO’s annual remuneration. They do not mean the Bank CEOs received the same amount every month or day.
The figures may also include bonuses, benefits, retirement contributions and incentives from previous years. Therefore, the ranking compares the total remuneration received by the Bank CEOs, not their basic salaries alone.
