The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has successfully completed all development works under the MADANI Adopted Village Programme (KAM) 2025 in Kampung Tok Kepak, marking a key milestone in efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure.
The official handover ceremony was held on Jan 31 and officiated by Datuk Wira Dr. M Noor Azman bin Taib, Secretary-General of KPKT, at Masjid Al-Huda.
The project forms part of the government’s strategy to narrow the infrastructure gap between rural and urban areas by prioritising underserved communities with pressing basic facility needs. Kampung Tok Kepak was selected based on the KAM 2025 implementation guidelines, due to its rural status and limited access to essential infrastructure.

With a RM1 million allocation approved by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, a series of high-impact infrastructure and social projects were implemented, benefiting around 300 local residents.
Among the completed projects were upgrades to KEMAS kindergartens, mosque facilities including the tower and kitchen, surau and Islamic kindergarten facilities, as well as the installation of air-conditioning systems and equipment at community buildings such as the village hall and community centre.
Additional improvements included the installation of solar-powered street lighting, construction of a public square in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Kepak, landscaping works at key community locations, playground upgrades, and the implementation of housing repair and new home construction programmes.
Despite challenges posed by unpredictable weather and ground conditions, all projects were completed as planned. Dr. Noor Azman, who is a native of Kampung Tok Kepak, said the initiative reflected both a personal responsibility and the government’s broader commitment to ensuring development reaches grassroots communities efficiently and effectively.
He expressed hope that the facilities provided would be properly maintained and utilised to deliver long-term benefits for residents and future generations.

In conjunction with the handover ceremony, several community-focused services were also held, including Rahmah sales initiatives, health screenings, free haircuts, and complimentary motorcycle engine oil changes. These efforts aim to improve the quality of life of residents, many of whom are engaged in agriculture.
Also present at the event were senior KPKT officials, representatives from the Kubang Pasu Municipal Council, village leaders, religious leaders, and local residents.
