Pertubuhan MySayang Malaysia successfully held its 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Pustaka Raja Tun Uda, with members, partners, and committee leaders gathering to review the organisation’s milestones over the past year and chart a purposeful course forward.

The meeting was officiated by Chairperson YM Tengku Loreta Tengku Dato’ Setia Ramli Alhaj, who reaffirmed MySayang’s commitment to education, environmental care, and social upliftment. In her opening remarks, she expressed appreciation for the dedication of all members, emphasising that while the world continues to change, MySayang’s mission remains clear: to build a more compassionate, united, and empowered society.
MySayang Year in Review: Community, Culture, and Collaboration
Throughout 2024, MySayang carried out a series of impactful programmes, ranging from hospital donations and orphanage support to environmental events and education-focused conferences. Notable activities included:
- Charity Bazaar “The World is Yours”: Held over two weekends in September 2024, featuring 26 vendors and public talks by environmental and sustainability experts. Proceeds supported underprivileged children.
- APPGM-SDG Food Product Training (Port Dickson): A 12-week business programme benefiting women aged 18–45 with hands-on skills, equipment, and certification.
- Participation in the Green Leadership Conference, Russian Kazan Muslim Festival, and the Selangor Education Summit, highlighting MySayang’s growing engagement in national and global dialogues on culture, environment, and innovation.
The organisation also hosted donation drives during Ramadan and collaborated on community outreach with local authorities and NGOs.
Strengthening Governance and Expanding Participation

The AGM also included the election of the 2025/2026 Management Committee, with YM Tengku Loreta reappointed as Chairperson. The new committee features a mix of returning members and fresh faces committed to carrying the organisation forward.
Members also proposed to open MySayang membership to non-Malaysians; marking a possible expansion of the organisation’s reach and inclusivity.
MySayang Malaysia Partners with PPAS
A key development shared at the meeting was MySayang’s official collaboration with the Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS). The partnership will focus on educational and community outreach programmes, including charity events, documentary screenings, and support for underserved groups. Planned initiatives include a Car Boot Sale, community aid at PPR housing, and public events highlighting environmental education.
Plans for 2025
Among the priorities for the year ahead are:
- The second Kuala Langat Beach Cleanup
- Continued support for single mothers, orphans, and youth-focused projects
- Broader public engagement through educational talks, exhibitions, and green initiatives
While the meeting remained practical and policy-focused, a shared sense of optimism could be felt among attendees.
The AGM ended with a festive Hari Raya Aidilfitri luncheon, bringing members together in celebration of shared goals and lasting friendships.
