The Malaysia Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Association (MCWEA) recently hosted a lively Chinese New Year celebration in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together close to 200 distinguished guests, including representatives from various trade associations, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs. The event served as a platform for networking, collaboration, and strengthening business ties among women entrepreneurs and the wider business community.

Ms. Pinky Yap (VKids), Headmaster Lee (SJKC Kuang), Tan Sri Danny Ooi (Founder of Malaysia Book of Records), Dato’ Sri Robert Lim (President of AZXCCC), Ms. Yong Siew Lee (Messrs Yong SL & Koh), and Ms. Lenny Chiah.
In a video message, MCWEA’s National President, Datin Sri Jessie Wong, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the tremendous support received from organizations and industry leaders. She noted that such strong participation highlighted MCWEA’s growing influence in the business landscape. Looking ahead, she emphasized MCWEA’s commitment to playing an active role in community service and nation-building, empowering entrepreneurs while making meaningful contributions to society.

As part of its commitment to education and community development, MCWEA took the opportunity to support Chinese primary schools during the event. Fifty VKids online learning programs were generously donated to two schools—SJKC Kuang and SJKC Chap Khuang—to enhance digital learning opportunities for students. The initiative was sponsored by Messrs Yong SL & Koh, represented by co-founder Ms. Yong Siew Lee, who expressed her enthusiasm for supporting education through digital tools that can empower young learners.

The event not only celebrated the festive spirit of Chinese New Year but also reinforced MCWEA’s role in fostering business growth, social responsibility, and educational support for future generations.
