How Did This Kuching Boss Reward Hard Work? With a Myvi

In the hustle and bustle of today’s world, it’s uncommon to encounter employers who truly acknowledge and cherish their employees’ dedication. Yet, occasionally, an exceptional boss emerges, showcasing their appreciation for their team’s hard work.

Recently, a TikTok user known as Vincent shared a heartwarming story that has resonated with many. He posted a video highlighting a restaurant owner in Kuching, Sarawak, who gifted a Perodua Myvi to a long-time staff member in recognition of his more than three years of dedicated service.

Vincent captioned the video, “We witnessed a touching moment in Kuching.”

In the clip, the restaurant owner, Mr. Damith invited Vincent to accompany him as he purchased the Myvi for his employee.

“It’s my way of showing appreciation for their commitment and daily responsibilities,” Mr. Damith explained when asked why he chose to buy the Myvi.

Mr. Damith also shared that before joining his restaurant, the staff member had struggled with negative influences and unemployment.

However, with a job at the restaurant, he managed to turn his life around and become a valuable team member. The Myvi was a token of appreciation for this remarkable turnaround.

After purchasing the Myvi, Mr. Damith drove it to his restaurant and surprised the employee with the generous gift.

The emotional moment was captured on video as the staff member, visibly moved, wiped away tears and gave Mr. Damith a heartfelt hug before inspecting his new Myvi.

“Today, I witnessed a touching moment. Most of the time, bosses are willing to take responsibility for all their employees. We hope to have more bosses like this. We hope everyone has a great working environment,” said Vincent, sharing his reflection.
