The High Impact Product Matching Grant (HIP) is a government initiative aimed at supporting businesses in various agricultural sectors to boost production, marketability, and product sales.
This program is targeted towards entrepreneurs in the food and basic agricultural sectors with annual gross sales ranging from RM300,000 to RM5 million.

Application process
You can obtain the application form through the implementing agencies listed below:

- Malaysia Fisheries Development Board (LKIM)

- Malaysia Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM)
- Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (KADA)
- Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA)
- Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI)

- Integrated Agricultural Development Area (IADA)
Grant Amount
The government provides a maximum matching grant of up to RM200,000 for each application. For example, if your project costs RM250,000, the government grant would cover 50% (RM125,000), and the entrepreneur would cover the remaining 50% (RM125,000).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the HIP Matching Grant, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including:
- Incorporated under the Companies Act 2016 [Act 777] or registered under the Business Registration Act 1956 [Act 197]; or
- Fishermen’s association registered under the Fisheries Association Act 1971 [Act 44]; or
- Farmers’ organization registered under the Farmers’ Organization Constitution 1973 [Act 109]; or
- Cooperative registered under the Cooperative Act 1993 [Act 503]; or
- Non-governmental organization registered under the Societies Act 1966 [Act 832]; or
- Having a business license; and
- Having valid business premises/business premises license.
Selection Process
Participants are selected based on nomination criteria, including:
- Has not been approved for any assistance/grants from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (KPKM);
- Have selected products with market potential;
- Demonstrating good business performance for at least one (1) year and not declared bankrupt;
- Have potential to reach a higher level if the company is upgraded/has a feasible business development plan; and
- Having a secured market space.
