Munashraf Munawar may be a name you haven’t heard before, but if we mention Boss Mun, some of you active on social media might recognize him. He gained attention from netizens with a viral video showing him stepping out of a luxury car and being greeted by his employees. The video showcased his aura as a boss, leaving many curious about his profession.
Who is Boss Mun?
Munashraf Munawar, famously known as Boss Mun, is the founder of Biovet, a company that produces premium quality multi-nutritional supplements for pets. Biovet is a subsidiary of Purnama Satu Holding.
Boss Mun’s entrepreneurial journey began at the age of 17 when he started dropshipping and direct selling. However, his life took a tragic turn when his mother passed away from leukaemia just four months before he sat for his SPM exams. Devastated and lost, Boss Mun found himself at a crossroads. After going through a period of self-reflection, he resolved to change his fate and become successful in honouring his mother’s memory.
He saw promising returns in the pet industry
After SPM, he enrolled in a foundation in Law program. During that time, he started selling products and generated profits of RM20,000 to RM30,000 per month. The entrepreneurial journey looked promising, so he shifted his focus to the pet industry. He saw no local pet products in the market, and most of the pet stores relied on imported products.
Seeing the potential in the pet industry, he worked closely with several veterinarians to come up with the idea to create vitamins for pets – Biovet Immune Booster.
Biovet’s first product is Biovet Immune Booster, which has sold millions
In his first year of business, he achieved sales in the hundreds of thousands. Three years later, his business and company were valued at RM26 million. Biovet now offers six pet supplements and vitamins: Immune Booster, Health Booster, Dimethylglycine, Tick & Flea Control Spray, and Super Premium Kibble.
As a young leader, Boss Mun effectively led a team of nearly 200 employees, including 100 sales teams and 30 marketing teams. He has been invited to numerous events in Malaysia as a speaker, sharing valuable insights with founders and business owners.
His expertise lies in developing companies and sales strategies, consistently achieving seven-figure annual revenues. Boss Mun is a great example of how a teenage boy can create a local product that beats well-established international brands. Good job!
