Moomoo, the Silicon Valley-based all-in-one investment superapp, has officially expanded into Malaysia, with a focus on enhancing financial inclusivity through technological innovation. The new investment platform, established in 2012, currently has more than 21 million users globally and operates in various countries, including Singapore, Australia, Japan, and Canada.

Prior to its official launch in Malaysia, Moomoo obtained regulatory approval to operate in the country by securing a Capital Market Services license from the Securities Commission under the name Futu Malaysia.

The platform ensures user protection by allowing claims of up to RM100,000 from the Capital Market Compensation Fund in case of financial insolvency due to fraud, defalcation, or misselling. Moreover, Customers’ funds are held separately in a custodian account, ensuring segregation from Moomoo’s finances.

Talking about its unique features, Moomoo highlights that Malaysian users can trade both Malaysian and US stocks, ETFs, REITs, and warrants through a single platform accessible via the web and mobile app. Real-time data, including stock updates and global breaking news, is provided to assist users in making informed decisions.

Another of Moomoo’s main attractions is its set of analytical tools, such as Heatmap, Stock Screener, Institutional Tracking, and Market Monitor, which are designed to enhance decision-making capabilities.

Furthermore, universal account holders can enjoy complimentary access to real-time Malaysia LV1 3 levels and US LV2 60 levels quotes. The paper trade feature allows users to practice trading skills using real-time data without risking actual funds. Interestingly, Moomoo provides over 600 investment courses for users, whether they are beginners or experienced traders, through its Moo Learn section. Not to forget, users can engage with the community in the platform’s Community section.

As part of its launch promotion, Moomoo offers a free Apple share to new users opening a Moomoo Malaysia universal account with a total deposit of RM8,000 by March 31, 2024. Alternatively, users depositing a cumulative amount of RM500 before the end of March are eligible to receive RM100 cash rewards.

Keep in mind that by making at least one transaction during this special promotional period, users not only get the chance to experience the Malaysia LV2 market data for free for a month but can accumulate up to six months of access.
