The MADANI Muhibah Ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), aims to celebrate the spirit of unity among Malaysians in general and the KPKT community in particular. It serves as a catalyst for the ‘KPKT team’ to advance the ministry into a more progressive stance, ensuring the delivery of quality government services to the people.
Minister Nga Kor Ming highlighted KPKT’s focus on delivering quality government services through four main areas this year: People’s Well-being as KPKT’s Priority, Infrastructure Enhancing People’s Happiness, Sustainable Urban Planning, and Responsive Local Government.
Named the MADANI Muhibah Ceremony, the event featured 20 food stalls representing Malaysia’s multiracial communities, including Sabah and Sarawak. Notable dishes such as ‘roti canai berapi’ and ‘cendol songkok tinggi’ were fully operated by members of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).
Additionally, a variety of bakery products developed through the Urban Community Economic Empowerment Programme (PEKB) were presented. This program, under KPKT, aims to improve the income and living standards of the B40 group in urban areas.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof, Cabinet ministers, KPKT Deputy Minister Datuk Hajah Aiman Athirah Sabu, and KPKT Secretary-General Datuk Wira M Noor Azman Taib.
