Permodalan Nasional Berhad has declared 5.25 sen for ASB the total distribution consists of an income distribution of 4.25 sen a unit and a bonus of 1.00 sen a unit. In a statement, PNB said the total payout amounts to RM9.3 billion and will benefit 10.8 million ASB unitholders.
The recorded dividend is higher than that of 2022, which was 3.35 with a 1.00 bonus. The income distribution, bonus, and additional bonus of ASB will be reinvested in unit holders’ accounts as additional units, credited automatically into their respective ASB accounts on January 1, 2024.
Many questions arise on how to calculate the ASB dividends. Below is the formula on how you can calculate it:
Based on the information shared by The Futurizts on X, ASB dividends are calculated every month based on the lowest balance in your account.
For example, if you start the month with RM10,000 but withdraw RM3,000, your dividend for the month will be based on RM7,000.
Another example is if you start the month with RM10,000 and invest an additional RM2,000. Your dividend for the month will be based on RM10,000, not RM12,000 (lowest balance).
ASB bonuses (for the first RM30,000) are also calculated in a similar manner. The profits will automatically be reinvested into your account as additional units in January each year.
