The Deputy Minister of Local Government Development (KPKT) Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir officially launched the Housing Integrated Management System (HIMS) at the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery. This cutting-edge system, now integrates with private housing developers, with Gamuda Land Sdn Bhd leading the way.
The primary objective of this integration is to ensure that data regarding licensed housing projects remains consistently updated in near real-time. By doing so, it facilitates transparent property sales management and assessments of the property market. This enables potential buyers presented with precise and accurate property information.

The launch was graced by Akmal Nasrullah, who highlighted the significance of private-sector support in making this integration possible. HIMS, initially designed for license processing and project monitoring, has exceeded expectations. It has effectively integrated and shared data with five agencies, both governmental and private.
The five agencies integrated with HIMS include Government Public Key Infrastructure (MyGPKI) under MAMPU, Financial Process Exchange (FPX) system under Paynet, MyIdentity under the National Registration Department (JPN), and Business Profile Information under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
In a significant leap toward transparent property management, the ministry plans to strengthen its strategic partnerships with private agencies like IFCA MSC Bhd, TRB Ventures Sdn Bhd, and other property developers. These collaborations are aimed at enhancing industry standards and ensuring a seamless experience for developers and buyers alike.
Additionally, he clarified that significant enhancements are planned for the first quarter of 2024. For instance, Online Sales and Purchase Agreements (eSPA) generated through HIMS will now feature e-signatures for all parties involved. Subsequently, e-stamping, in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), will streamline the documentation process further.
Furthermore, KPKT aims to collaborate with the banking industry, making the entire home-buying process, including housing loans, accessible online. This move seeks to enhance transparency in home purchasing procedures.
HIMS, initiated in October 2019 with a grant of RM1.2 million, commenced operations on January 31, 2022. It now functions as a central hub for managing developer licenses (DL), advertising and sales permits (AP), real-time updates on housing projects, and the generation of eSPA.
As of September 28, 2023, HIMS boasts 10,571 registered housing developers, overseeing 33,716 housing developments and contributing RM19.3 million in government revenue.
