Entrepreneur and motivation expert, Datuk Azizan Osman previously shared his traumatic experience with Covid-19 which almost killed him and took the life of a loved one. It was an unforgettable experience where all his family members were tested positive for Covid-19. But, it didn’t slow him down and now, he’s ready to make bolder moves.
Based on his sharing on Facebook, Azizan Osman was tested positive for Covid-19 exactly a year ago and was put to sleep in ICU, Hospital Sungai Buloh. He said at that time, the specialist doctor told him the chances of him recovering was very slim because the virus has attacked his lungs – resulting in decreased oxygen level.
Here’s five things he learned from the past experience as an ex-Covid patient:
1. Allah can test us at any time. Our life is entirely a test and it’s like we are in a “video game”. We can be tested anytime, in many ways be it big or small. So we need to always be ready to face it and be prepared on how to respond to it well.
2. Everything has a process. When he was in the recovery period, his specialist doctor warned him that healing takes time – maybe 3-6 months. Don’t push yourself and make sure to eat healthy food, get enough sleep and take a lot of rest. Too much stress will slow down the recovery process.
3. Everything that had happened made him appreciate life more and the people around him. Many students who joined my entrepreneur classes prayed for me when I was sick and I’m forever grateful.
4. Life is short – really short. Every soul will taste death. Use all the time and opportunity wisely. Do good things like spending time with family or use it to help others through our work or business.
5. Do not give up. Everyone is given 24 hours per day – no more or less. So take the plunge. What I learned after recovering from Covid-19 is I’m not afraid to take a bold move. I’m one of the major investors in the company listed in Bursa Malaysia – MPay Berhad and I took many more bold actions.
