The Malaysian government has announced that local tourists are allowed to travel domestically and internationally starting October 11. Meaning, the MyTravelPass programme would no longer be enforced and tourists can travel freely to selected countries that are open to Malaysian. However, it is mandatory for Malaysian tourists to be fully vaccinated and some places required you to be self-quaratined upon arrival.
But, if you wish to travel to places that do not require you to self-quarantine as it would take a lot of time and money, here are five countries you can visit now:
1. Thailand
Thailand is a good destination for you to have a getaway vacation after MCO since they have a rich historical heritage and abundant natural resources for you to enjoy.
Plus, they are one of the first Asian countries to reopen its border to fully vaccinated travellers as a quarantine-free travel arrangement program.
According to the latest government update, they will reopen their borders to foreign travellers from 46 nations (including Malaysia) and several districts like Bangkok, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Krabi, Koh Chang, and various districts of Chiang Mai starting 1 November 2021. Please note that travellers must do Covid-19 test upon arrival in Thailand and remain one night in an approved hotel.
2. Singapore
Singapore, as one of the world’s developed countries, has a world-class public transportation system that makes it possible for visitors to go to nearly any region of the country with ease, making it a top holiday destination.
On November 8th, Singapore and Malaysia announced that the governments will begin implementing the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) on November 29th, opening the way for quarantine-free air travel between the two nations. Only flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Changi Airport will be permitted in the first phase of quarantine-free travel between Singapore and Malaysia.
3. England
England is well-known for various things, most notably for its diverse mix of modern and traditional attractions ranging from arts, music, festivals, and history to the scenery that may fascinate any traveller.
Additionally, England is recognized for accepting tourists from most countries except those on the red list, which is convenient for travellers who are looking forward to travel there.
For those travellers planning a trip to the United Kingdom, you must first pre-book a COVID-19 test to be taken by the end of your second day in England. Afterward, you must complete and pass a passenger locator form before flying out. Please keep in mind that the United Kingdom does not yet accept the Sinovac or Sinopharm vaccines.
4. Switzerland
Switzerland, renowned for its enchanting alpine landscapes and enthralling cities, has officially opened its borders to all foreign travellers. They have opened their borders to all travellers even for those who are not vaccinated but have negative PCR test.
However, for those that fully vaccinated and children under the age of 16 don’t have to show the PCR test or undergo quarantine. During your travel here, you must show a Covid-19 Vaccination certificate in order to enter all the shops, mall, or any attraction place such as museums.
5. France
France is an excellent vacation destination for you to pick. There are many sightseeing opportunities such as medieval cities, mountain villages, and Mediterranean beaches.
Aside from that, in the central city (Paris) you can discover many interesting places such as fashion houses, museums of classical art such as the Louvre, and monuments such as the Eiffel Tower.
France has now allowed the fully vaccinated tourists to enter the country without any restriction. However, for the children over the age of 12, you will have to prove the child’s negative COVID-19 test result.
