The Tokyo 2020 Olympics have ended and there were many unforgettable moments caught on camera. Amid the pandemic, Tokyo 2020 Olympics was a successful event. Now, we are already looking forward to the Paris 2024 Olympics and many are looking forward to being volunteers.

Based on the website, it is not stated what age is required yet. However, the minimum age requirement for volunteers for Tokyo 2020 was 18. To be a volunteer, you need to be above 18 years old with the ability to speak at least two languages. As a volunteer, you will be responsible for all kinds of duties – depending on your skills and abilities.
You will need to deal with accommodation and accreditation, handle arrivals and departures in train stations, airports and/or at the official ceremonies, direct spectator flows, provide language assistance, help organise tournaments, and you might also be required to sanitise areas, hand out mask (the new norm). Volunteers will also have to give their time to the event including going for the trials that will take place before the competition.
Note that it is an unpaid job but a rare experience, indeed. You will have the opportunity to meet thousands of people from different countries, learn new languages and culture and the plus point is you will have the chance to bump into your favourite athletes. As a volunteer, you will need to pay for your own flight, accommodation during the event and do arrangements by yourself.
