Many probably know Azmi Zainal, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Farm Fresh Azmi from his inspiring story of how he built the brand from nothing.
Azmi, also known as “Bos Susu” has caught many attentions with his appearance on local reality TV shows as the main sponsor. Besides, Farm Fresh has also sponsored for motoring sports events previously. The brand has been widely known by Malaysians and the products are available in many major supermarkets.
Recently, his name once again became popular following his latest sharing on Facebook. He shared the inspiring story of how he managed to grow the business overseas through factory ownership in Australia. The post garnered 14K likes and 4.6K shares.
Farm Fresh invested more than RM100 million to expand the brand globally
According to the post, Farm Fresh has invested more than RM100 million to expand the business globally. But, they decided not to talk about it to the public as they were waiting for their investment to show a result.
“We hardly shared about our investment story in Australia. We have invested more than RM100 million to expand our company into the Asia Pacific and globally.”
Surprisingly, they are taking over Australia’s jam brand that has been long in the market
“We started with purchasing poultry breeding and farms to factories. Now, our investments have begun to show some progress and positive result. We have decided to share this great news with our consumers and Malaysians especially,” he wrote.
What attracts us is the investment that they made in Australia is not simple and small. Farm Fresh is the new major shareholder of the IXL jam brand. They purchased a 20-acre factory at Kyabram in Northern Victoria.
With this new investment, they are bringing the famous jam into Malaysia market
The factory belongs to the famous Australian’s jam brand company, IXL jam- where the sole shareholder of the company is Holstein Milk Company (Australia). The company has listed Farm Fresh as the major shareholder in the company. Local business leaders have welcomed them and they have been told that they will retain their employment.
According to Azmi, IXL brand is one of Australian’s famous jam brands that has been around in the market for more than 100 years. They also export the jams to Europe, the Middle East and also Asia.
“Now the IXL jam brand is finally available in Malaysia and it belongs to Malaysians. We hope our consumers will continue supporting us and buy IXL jam, a Malaysian-owned brand. MALAYSIA BOLEH!” he said.
