Facebook Malaysia is offering a little financial support to Malaysian businesses that are experiencing disruptions resulting from the global outbreak of Covid-19. This grant programme could help support the community by helping local businesses to keep their workforce going strong and help with rental and operations costs.
Who can apply for this Facebook financial support?
According to Facebook, they are looking to support up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in more than 30 countries. To be eligible to apply, your business must:
- Have between 2 and 50 employees
- Have been in business for over a year
- Have experienced challenges due to COVID-19
- Be in or near a location where Facebook operates
How to apply for this financial support programme?
To apply, you’ll only need to submit the following document:
- SSM Profile of your business entity
Each grant amounts to RM 9,400
Facebook Malaysia stated that they are offering approximately RM 3.2mil in grants to approximately 300 eligible small businesses. Each grant amounts to RM 9,400 comprising of RM 5,900 in cash and RM 3,500 in optional ad credits to help during this challenging time.
Applicants do not need to have a Facebook presence in order to apply. However, your business must be physically located in Kuala Lumpur in order to access the application form. Applicants can submit their application between 6-12 October 2020.
