A young Malaysians entrepreneur is being known worldwide with her inspirational story of becoming a businesswoman selling pinrings – earrings where you can just pin them on your scarves. Nurul Fatini Zamri, 22-year-old student shared on TikTok her journey of setting up her very own accessory brand for hijabis – lushpins.

In the TikTok video, Fatini from Sungai Buloh, Selangor tells how she struggled after graduating from college because her examination results were not good enough to continue for a degree in overseas. She said while her friends started their new journey, she stayed at home and felt really down and lost.

Until one day when she attended a family gathering styling her self-crafted pinrings – a set of earring which she made to be pinned on her scarves instead of wearing it on her ears.
Her cousins asked how she can wear earrings with hijab? She told them just pin them! Her cousins acknowledged her creativity and they told her that she should start selling the handmade accessories. Knowing that her creation has potential, she then started a small business of selling lushpins.

She got a motivational boost from a family member to make and sell her own jewelry. LushPins was born in 2018 specialises in making handmade pinrings for the fashionable hijabi. Speaking about how she had first come up with the pinrings idea, Fatini said she got the idea while experimenting on her look for her college diploma graduation ceremony back in 2017.
With a pair of simple earrings and some straight pins, she could create a stylish accessory and she had been crafted it for her herself and her sisters since that day forward. Each pair of pinrings are uniquely designed.
Without having no business connections to ask or share, she went on internet and self-taught about everything – from designing, marketing, scriptwriting, product photoshoot and even models the products.
The video gained 2.4 million views worldwide and her business literally has boomed overnight.

Since her TikTok video gained viral attention, her very own women’s accessory brand LushPins is making international waves and her Instagram increased from 4,000 to 12,000 followers in just one day! The video gained 2.4 million views worldwide and her business literally has boomed overnight.
