E-wallet service provider Boost has launched the Micro & SMEs (MSMEs) E-Commerce campaign to help MSMEs on their digitisation journey with adapting to the new normal due to the current economic landscape.
This MSMEs campaigned is a collaboration between Boost and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as part of the PENJANA economic recovery plan that will run until September 30, 2020.
Merchants can claim up to RM 1,500 worth of benefits and rewards
Participating merchants can claim up to RM 1,500 worth of benefits and rewards. This includes waivers, cash incentives and advertising aid. Furthermore, Boost will help these micro and SMEs to digitise and move their businesses online by setting up their own e-commerce catalogue that is integrated with the Boost Business Payment Link feature.
This package offered allow merchants to share their products easily and accept orders from customers via the app. Besides, the Boost Business Payment Link feature also enables merchants to collect payments via email, SMS or WhatsApp – hence, saving them from investing in payment terminals.
Merchants can apply for micro-financing through Boost with no repayment required for the first 6 months
To further help MSMEs, Boost is offering digital financial services such as micro-financing of up to RM 20,000 with no repayment required for the first six months to help them rebuild their businesses.
Merchants can apply for the financial facility through Aspirasi Assist – a platform that provides financing assitaance to SMEs impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Soon, they will introduce an insurance product for MSME owners to protect their businesses.
“We are happy to lend our expertise to be part of the government and MDEC’s initiative that is set to enable MSMEs with access to innovative digital solutions that are simple to use and will help them not only recover with resilience but also thrive in this new normal,” said the chief executive officer of Boost, Mohd Khairil Abdullah. He further added that Boost aims to give exposure to onboarding businesses through its rapidly growing user base of 7.6 million users.
