Nestle Malaysia Bhd (Nestle) has announced the company’s effort in creating job opportunities that will benefit 500 youth by 2021, as part of its efforts to support vulnerable communities that are greatly affected during the Covid-19 pandemic -this include those from B40 communities.
The job opportunity is in line with the group’s global ambition to help at least 10 million youths gain access to economic opportunities by 2030.

Nestle in a statement pointed out that youth unemployment is a global issue which has been further compounded due to the impact of COVID-19.
“In Malaysia, youth unemployment rate is increasing, and recent reports indicate that workers under the age of 30 account for up to one-third of job losses in 2020.”
Nestle offers Management Trainee programme and also Internship & Apprenticeship programme
The world’s largest food & beverage company aims to enhance youth employ-ability through its Management Trainee, Internship and Apprenticeship programmes, as well as recruitment through direct hire opportunities.
On top of equipping youths with relevant skills and enhancing employability, Nestle aim is to ensure that the participants, especially those from the B40 groups, will have a stable source of income to keep afloat during these tough times..
Moreover, Nestle will also continue to provide practical experience through ‘readiness for work’ events and explore more opportunities by collaborating with like-minded external partners and companies.
