Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah once again received recognition for his efficiency leadership in fighting Covid-19 in our country. Just recently, he received the BrandLaureate Most Outstanding BrandLeadership Award from The World Brands Foundation for his exceptional role, leadership, and achievement in handling the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Noor Hisham also received the Excellent Healthcare Service Provider Award on behalf of the Ministry of Health (MoH)
“Having risen to prominence since the COVID-19 pandemic escalated in Malaysia in March 2020, Dr Noor Hisham’s commitment in fighting the pandemic has given Malaysians hope and healing,” quoted from The World Brands Foundation.
The award was presented by The World Brands Foundation’s (TWBF) world president Dr KK Johan and chairman Tan Sri Rainer Althoff.

Prior to receiving the awards, Dr Noor Hisham said the awards reflected the dedication, commitment, sacrifice and resilience of each and every individual in the ministry as well as various agencies to provide the best healthcare service to the people and country.
“We are here not for popularity, but more importantly, it is to save the nation in crisis,” he emphasised.
“Both of these awards reflect the dedication, commitment, sacrifice and resilience of every individual in the Ministry of Health and various agencies to provide the best healthcare service for the Rakyat and nation. We have faced many challenges and obstacles during this unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, we have managed to overcome them all together as one.”

Acknowledging the Health D-G’s leadership, Althoff said that Malaysia has successfully flattened the Covid-19 curve due to the hard work of the whole MoH team under the leadership of Dr Noor Hisham and is now seen as a champion in containing the COVID-19 pandemic in the eyes of the world.
“You (Dr Noor Hisham) and your team made it. You found the winning recipe to flatten the curve, and showed the best practice in communication,” he said.
