The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MOA) will work together to produce more entrepreneurs in agriculture amongst the youth of the country.
A discussion between the MEDAC and the MOA, Datuk Seri Dr. Ronald Kiandee has been held to ensure that MEDAC aspiration to make this plan a reality for the benefit of local youths.
Various agricultural inputs, training and modernization of agriculture towards high-income economics are discussed together in this meeting.
The involvement of agricultural-based cooperatives is expected to increase output and increase co-operative income especially in the modern agricultural sector where the MOA will provide assistance and cooperation.
“I hope that strategic cooperation between MEDAC and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MOA) will play a role in enhancing more creative and innovative cooperative entrepreneurs.”
“At the same time, I believe this collaboration will also produce more agroprenuers, especially young entrepreneurs and women in the agriculture and food industry,” Dato Seri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said during the meeting.
