Meet Dr Nisha Thayananthan, former Miss World Malaysia beauty queen who is a medical frontliner at Purtajaya Hospital

Dr Nisha, Miss World Malaysia 2019 finalist is currently a medical doctor at Putrajaya Hospital and also one of the few doctors in charge of the Covid-19 screening cabin. She is in charge to treat patients of the respiratory illness since the Covid-19 outbreak.

Dr Nisha always share her daily routine at the hospital and she’s working tirelessly in helping patients during the critical times. She’s an example of another beauty queen who willings put down the crown and returned to medical practice to help Covid-19 patients.

As a medical doctor and a former beauty finalist, Dr Nisha helps promote awareness of the coronavirus and advise the public to stay at home. Dr Nisha together with her colleagues are working hard to save lives by working day and night and they even made sacrifices by staying away from their loved ones.
She has also been involved in charitable and humanitarian using her own money

Dr Nisha has also been actively distributing essential goods such as rice, cooking oil and milk to help the less fortunate during the global pandemic. She drives to various location in the federal capital and her hometown of Seremban to help people who ask for assistance.
“It is always better to give than to receive. My parents have always encouraged me to help the less fortunate, and I’ve been involved in charitable and humanitarian work in the past.”
Her mothers runs an elderly care home and a shelter for abandoned animals

According to Dr Nisha, many people have contacted her for assistance since the Covid-19 outbreak in Malaysia. Most of the times, she will use her own pocket money to help those in need. She even spare her off days by doing charity. Her mother runs an elderly care home as well as a shelter for abandoned animals in Petaling Jaya.
