Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for. Eligible Malaysians from the B40 and M40 group can apply for the one-off cash handouts, Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) starting on 1st April onward. The Ministry of Finance has provided further clarification on the BPN cash aid where the payment will be disbursed in two separate payments – at the end of April and May 2020.

Household income of RM4,001 – RM8000
- Recipients will receive RM 1,000 where RM 500 will be paid in April and RM 500 in May.
Household income of RM4,000 and below
- Recipients will receive RM 1,600 where RM 1,000 will be paid in April and RM 600 in May.
Single adults aged 21 years old with income of RM2,000 and below
- Recipients will receive RM 800 where RM 500 will be paid in April and RM 300 in May.
Single adults aged 21 years old with income between RM2,001 – RM4000
- Recipients will receive RM 500 where RM 250 will be paid in April and RM 250 in May.
If you have already registered for BSH and LHDN, you don’t need to register again.
For B40 households and single adults that have registered for Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH), you won’t need to apply or register again. The cash aid will be transferred to your registered bank account. Same goes to the M40 households and single adults who have already registered with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN). The BPN cash aid will be transferred to your registered bank account with LHDN.

However, for eligible Malaysians that have not registered with BSH or LHDN, you can apply for the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional cash aid at http://www.hasil.gov.my/. Eligible Malaysians may apply starting 1st April 2020 onward.
