According to the official website of New Zealand Immigration, they have informed that applications will be opened for all citizen of Malaysian starting from Jan 23rd 2020 at 10AM New Zealand time. With the visa you can either use it to study or work while you enjoy your holiday.
The working holiday visa can only be applied online. But, make sure you understand the terms and conditions before you apply
The application is open for all citizen of Malaysia but you need to have at least NZ $2,250 to live during your stay. Here’s the full terms and conditions:
- You must be aged between 18 and 30 years old
- You must have a ticket to leave New Zealand or enough money to buy one
- You are not allowed to accept a permanent job
- No children allowed with you on a working holiday
- If you have a partner who wants to come to New Zealand, they’ll need to apply for their own visa
- You must have NZ$2,250 (RM6,110) to fund your stay there. You may be denied entry if they ask to show evidence of these funds and you cannot provide it
- You must come to New Zealand within 12 months of the date your visa is granted
Most importantly, make sure you accept a legal job
Based on the information given on the website, it states that it’s not necessary to have a job offer prior to applying for the visa. Applicants may choose to work in any job their like. But most importantly, applicants must ensure the job offer is a legal job and they are not allowed to provide or run a business relating to providing commercial sexual services.
It costs NZ$208 (RM860) to apply for the visa
Upon applying for the Working Holiday Visa, applicants need to pay the application fee worth NZ$208 (RM860). You can pay using your credit card. The whole process of the application takes around 21 days to process and once they’ve approved your application, they will notify you via email.
