As PLUS Malaysia Berhad will no longer provide Touch ‘n Go reload facilities at all toll plaza exit lanes, you may have been anxious as if your Touch ‘n Go balance is sufficient for your travel journeys. Good news is, Waze has added a new life-saving feature – it will now inform users how much toll they have to pay if they choose a route that has a toll gate along the way.
Introducing a new life-saving feature, Toll Prices
Its new feature provides an estimated cot based on various factors like the user’s vehicle type and route. All information added by the volunteer Waze commmunity of over 30,000 monthly active map editors.
According to Waze product manager Moriah Royz, they are now helping users save as much money as possible by giving them the absolute best choice routes, basd both on ETA and potential costs of tolls along the way.
Users can decide how much time or money they want to save
The new Toll Prices feature is automatically enabled and users will see a Toll tag on their chosen route if it includes a toll road. Users can tap on the toll price notification and it will show more information on how Waze calculated the price. So, users can decide how much time or money they want to save for their journey and choose any combination that they prefer.
If the toll is subject to a variable charge, like a congestion-based toll, Waze will only state that the toll amount varies. However, tolls in Malausia charge a fixed amount.
Malaysians, no more excuse of causing congestion caused by reload activities at toll plazas okay? Check the toll price via Waze and be a smart driver.
