The National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 (DKN2030) that was launched by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on 11th June 2019 will chart the direction towards creating a holistic and conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem to support the equitable and sustainable socio-economic agendas within the next 10 years.

With the holistic policy in place, several issues which have been affecting the entrepreneurs can be resolved in order to establish an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. According to the Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and per capita income are expected to increase and based on the current valuation, Malaysia will be able to become a high-income economy by 2021 or 2022.

“It is much needed for us (entrepreneurs)”

National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 (DKN 2030), A New Chapter for M'sian Economy

The NEP 2030 is a good strategy and policy by the governemnt. It is much needed by us (entrepreneurs). For me, the government needs to figure out how to help entrepreneurs to move forward from an SME to the next level. Looking back at the policy presented, I think this is a very powerful medium and we need to take all the initiatives given as a sign of support in assisting the government in achieving the ultimate goal of creating a holistic entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Datuk Kimi Iskandar Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of Mood Great Ideas Sdn Bhd

“With this policy, I hope it can help all entrepreneurs to continue contributing to the Malaysia economy”

National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 (DKN 2030), A New Chapter for M'sian Economy

As an entrepreneur I feel that NEP 2030 is a solid foundation for all entrepreneurs as well as the country. I hope that with this newly launched policy, it will help all entrepreneurs to continue contributing to the country’s economy.

Abdul Hannan Anand Bin Abdullah, Managing Director of Bostarz Sdn Bhd

“MED is a great platform for us to interact closely with the government”

National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 (DKN 2030), A New Chapter for M'sian Economy

MED is a great platform for us to interact closely with the government. With MED, we know who should we approach in seeking for opinions and assistance to help us further growing in the industry. I believe it is important for the goverment to go on the ground listen to our voice.

Farah Shazrina Bt Yahya, Dealer of Petronas Station Ara Damansara

“We still need your support and encouragement”

National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 (DKN 2030), A New Chapter for M'sian Economy

One of the policies under NEP 2030 is to create new and young entrepreneurs. I believe it is a great effort, but, don’t forget us who has been long in the industry. We still need the governement support and encouragement. Helps us to push ourselves to the next level.

Rozie Chik, Managing Director of Infinity Channel Sdn Bhd
