Event: The Warrior Adrenaline Race – 10 to 1 Obstacle Challenge

Part of the ‘Stronger Together’ fund raising project, which is led by Dato’ Dr. Arunan Selvaraj and his Rainbow team, the Warrior Adrenaline Race – 10 to 1 Obstacle Challenge aims to raise awareness about children with Cerebral Palsy. In addition to that, the project is in collaboration with Gabungan Anak-Anak Palsi Serebrum (GAPS), whereby all proceeds will be channelled to the establishment for it to establish a one stop learning and development centre for the children.
About the Event
The Obstacle Challenge, is a 20 Elements Obstacle Challenge with the theme ‘Focus On The Goal & NOT the Obstacle’. This challenge will involve participation from various organisations. We call it 10 to 1, as it is joined by 10 different organisation to reach 1 goal which is to raise funds for CP kids.
Who is GAPS?
GAPS, better known as Gabungan Anak-Anak Palsi Serebrum or Alliance of Children with Cerebral Palsy, was founded by a group of enthusiastic parents and supporters in 2016, and is registered with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia.
What does it do?
Since its inception, GAPS has organised workshops like Augmentative and Alternative Communication and Disability Equality Training to educate members and the public on disability issues, and promote social inclusion and awareness at the same time.
GAPS provides a platform of holistic support and actively promotes the concept of Conductive Education which has proven beneficial for children with cerebral palsy. The long-term goal of GAPS is to establish a one-stop centre for the intervention, education, rehabilitation, care and research and development for cerebral palsy.
How to I participate?
- A minimum of 8 warriors is required to form a team
- Warriors must be a combination of male and female participants
