Fathiah Shamsuddin is the founder and master trainer of the Quantum Excellence Empowerment Programme (QX), an exclusively tailored programme where she trains people to reprogramme their mindset and attitude on a subconscious level, based on a proven set of excellent habits and laws that she formulated. She cleverly combines Mental Intelligence (IQ), Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Physical Intelligent (PQ) and Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) to develop a holistic people of excellence for success in their personal or career endeavours.
With the basis of “It is not the brain that makes the man, but it is the man that makes the brain”, the QX programme helps to unleash and optimise a person’s potential by introducing a more holistic and positive approach to a way of thinking. More importantly, QX programme helps people understand how their brain, their God-given equipment, works to naturally guide them towards success.
The oft-heard “we were born to succeed” is not a cliché but a fact, according to Fathiah, based on her research about the human brain. “As a human at birth, God has installed in us certain brain cells, scientifically known as RAS and Amygdala, which is there to either help us succeed and achieve what we want in life or help us fail,” Fathiah explains. “We must decide who to team up with in every step of our life and it can help liberate ourselves once we learn to give our brain the right instructions or affirmations,” she adds. This forms the basis of QX teachings. QX also empowers a person to focus on their strength and achievements, and help eliminate self-limiting beliefs that often ties them down.
With her vast experience in public speaking and a success at transforming herself by living according to same principles that she advocates, Fathiah is now adamant at helping others do the same. “I want to duplicate myself and my success on to people. It’s not about duplicating talent and intelligence, but more of duplicating success habits, mindset, behaviour and leadership,” she says, describing the motivation that she had when she first started the programme.
Today, QX has been well received by various organisations in the public and private sector, where it helps build leadership and entrepreneurship excellence. The programme has proven to help people achieve their goals, whether in life or career and aims to help shape a better society as a whole.
Success is achieved through habits, not just intelligence
Fathiah spent 14 years working in public relations, marketing communications and human capital development in various industries before subsequently moving on to work for herself, as a business and life coach, and also as a seminar speaker for an American based global education and personal development organisation.

Her experience has led her to many countries all over the world, where she was revered as a speaker with her ability to speak well and reach out to her audience. At the age of 50, Fathiah finally decided to give back to her own society by formulating the QX empowerment programme and starting up her own training business.
“MARA was among my earliest clients, and I have had the chance to train and add value to their entrepreneurs under the organization,” said the double-masters holder. “My programme introduces 9 guiding principles and laws to success,” she explains.
“This forms the basis of the life habits because it is actually habits that form the success of a person, not intelligence or even passion per se,” she adds, referring to prominent success icons like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs who indeed achieved their life success through their own habits and value system, not merely their intelligence or passion.
Harnessing the Spiritual Quotient
QX is also known as a heart-centred excellence programme. Simply put, the programme emphasises in harnessing an aspect that is often overlooked by human: “our connection with our Creator, dubbed our Spiritual Intelligence (SQ)”.
“The programme applies to anyone who lives with a core belief that there is an ultimate Creator,” Fathiah shares. “With this, I help people reassess their relationship with the Creator and help them realign their understanding and faith in His power,” she further elaborates, adding that the programme resonates with anyone from any belief.
“Granted, we all adhere to the practices that are required in order to maintain our connection with God, but in truth, we have problems truly trusting and believing in His order,” she notes. Fathiah continues to highlight that she once had the opportunity to train a group of executives who had to deal with a major restructuring of their company, where most of them were faced with fear, doubt and confusion as their future careers were uncertain and seemed bleak at that time.
“My approach helped them understand why change happens and why change is always good, from the spiritual perspective, which then allowed them to see the silver lining and boost their confidence and welcome the change with enthusiasm,” she recalls, further visualising why QX is essential to nurturing better human capabilities in the private and public sector.
Fathiah also expresses her concerns that the lack of SQ is the major cause for the degradation of moral and ethics that we see in society today, in which she hopes to fix through QX. She is convinced QX can help develop the right character and etiquette for Malaysians to move into their journey for Malaysia Baharu.
Building a legacy that stays after she is long gone
Fathiah’s approach to bettering things is actually quite straightforward. “In order for things to change, you must see them as you want it to be, not as they are,” she utters. With that said, Fathiah is confident that Quantum Excellence Empowerment Programme, spread to a wider audience, locally and abroad,will be able to change the mindset of generations to come. In fact, to-date, QX is also being taught successfully in Indonesia through the QX licensing programme.

“Throughout my career, I have met a lot of people from different backgrounds, and many doors have opened for me to expand this programme further,” she replies, also informing her vision of encapsulating this method into the Malaysian education system. “I want to help nurture the younger generation, who will be our future leaders, with SQ and the first-class mindset to success.”
In the end, her mission is pure: “This is my way of making the world a better place. QX was recently awarded the franchise licence from the Ministry and I am in the midst of rolling out my franchising exercise to duplicate more QX trainers with QX mindset” Fathiah explains hopefully and confidently.
