Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) is an annual trade fair held every second quarter of the year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With the sole aim of facilitating the sourcing and selling of quality Halal consumables, products and services globally, it has since become the largest congregation of Halal industry players since its establishment in 2004. If this is the first time you’re hearing about it, here is why you should participate in the biggest halal exhibition in the world!

1. MIHAS is held in the world’s no.1 halal economy

In 2016, Malaysia was ranked first in the Global Islamic Economy Index, which in turn provides the perfect backdrop for the event. In addition to that, Malaysia’s attempt to achieve high-income status by 2020 and to move farther up the value-added production chain has attracted investments in Islamic finance, high technology industries, biotechnology, and services. To date, the country’s leading position is primarily attributed to its strong performance in Islamic finance, which is underlined by its large asset base, advanced governance and high industry awareness.

2. MIHAS is the world’s largest halal event

Part of the World Halal Week programme and held alongside The World Halal Conference and The International Certifying Bodies Convention, MIHAS is seen as a must-attend event for halal professionals and business owners. Since its inception, MIHAS has become the premier event that is not limited to the ASEAN region alone but is also supported internationally by the enthusiastic participation of International Pavilions from countries across the globe.

3. MIHAS has an exceptional trading platform

According to MATRADE, MIHAS 2017 has welcomed over 20,000 trade visitors from 70 countries and generated RM1.14 billion for its exhibitors. Which also mean it has tapped into the growing demand for halal products and is able to deliver opportunities to the global halal market.

4. MIHAS is the powerhouse for networking

Co-located with World Halal Conference & International Certifying Bodies Convention, MIHAS delivers more opportunities and the perfect environment to build relationships. From pharmaceuticals and herbal products, cosmetics and healthcare to Islamic investment, banking and takaful as well as Islamic travel & tourism, it serves as the best entry point for the world market to penetrate into and flourish in the global Muslim ASEAN markets.

The 15 Malaysia International Halal Showcase will be held at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, from 4 to 7 April 2018
