Can anyone truly believe a 14-year-old girl is an entrepreneur of an e-commerce business? Well, Iman Safiyah is one to be reckoned with.
Iman Safiyah has already built her own online business called Empire Iman Safiyah. Registered under Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia, this student is selling a series of scarves, from the more casual pieces to wear out, to school scarves, which is developed based on her own experiences with shawls.
Selling school scarves that is easy to wear and has a good material
More surprisingly, this isn’t even Iman’s first business. Iman had been selling squishy toys for 2 years when she decided to do something new. So in early 2017, this young entrepreneur launched 2 lines of scarves—the Airish Shawl and Belluna Bawal. However, her best-seller, which is also what drew her to fame, is the Tudung Sekolah Iman Safiyah (TSIS), launched in November 2017.
She got her parents to invest in the TSIS business. Thanks to her squishy toys business, she had already accumulated profit and proved to her parents that she is able to do it. Both parents and siblings support her and help her with the business – from taking orders, packing and delivering.
Selling 500 pieces a month, thanks to her large following
TSIS has sold 2,000 pieces since their launch. What made TSIS so popular is thanks to its innovative designed which is almost impossible to find in the instant shawl.
Designed to look like the nicer, yet more difficult to put on the type of scarves, now we know why hijabista students are all heads over heels with Iman’s creation.
All this is possible because this one girl is able to see beyond a normal mass-market product. Can you relate to something that can be improved on?
